Da Vinci Pro Birch Wood Panels 30" x 30" with a 1-5/8" deep profile provide artists with a strong, rigid surface for creating lasting works of art. The fine-grained Birch face is carefully sanded to create a smooth working surface with no additional sanding needed before base coating. You can prepare the panel with your choice of gesso, PVA, or rabbit skin glue to suit your preferred painting technique.
The Birch panel is supported by a warp-resistant cradle made from kiln-dried New Zealand Pine and reinforced with two rigid cross braces, one vertical and one horizontal, for added stability. Lightweight yet sturdy, the panel will not sag like canvas and can be displayed framed or unframed. It also makes an excellent archival surface for mounting linen, cotton canvas, sanded pastel paper, or watercolor paper.
