Bold Solid Color Matboard With Conservation Protection

The Crescent Select Conservation Solid Matboard in NYPD delivers a strong, classic color paired with dependable archival performance. Its solid, evenly matched surface provides a confident presentation that enhances artwork while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.

Made from 100% virgin alpha cellulose wood pulp fibers, the board is chemically treated to eliminate acids and lignins that can cause artwork to yellow or deteriorate over time. Fully acid free and lignin free, it meets conservation standards for archival matting. The distinctive white core produces crisp, clean bevels that elevate the finished frame.

Buffered with calcium carbonate, the matboard maintains an alkaline reserve to help protect artwork from environmental pollutants. The fade and bleed resistant surface ensures long lasting color stability so artwork remains protected and visually strong.
