Made from 100% virgin alpha cellulose wood pulp fibers, the board is chemically treated to remove acids and lignins that can cause artwork to deteriorate over time. Fully acid free and lignin free, it meets conservation standards for long term matting. The distinctive white core produces crisp, clean bevels that enhance the finished presentation.
Buffered with calcium carbonate, the matboard maintains an alkaline reserve to help protect artwork from environmental pollutants. The fade and bleed resistant surface ensures lasting color stability so artwork remains protected and visually consistent.
